The Roanoke Girls

The Roanoke girls do not tend to stay in this area for long. Either they leave on their own or meet a tragic end. After her mother's tragic death, fifteen-year-old Lane Roanoke moved in with her grandparents and vivacious cousin, Allegra, on their massive property in rural Kansas. Lane was mostly unfamiliar with her mother's elusive relatives, but she quickly adapted to life as a member of the affluent and alluring Roanoke girls. However, once she uncovered the family's dark secrets, she fled... as far and as fast as she could. Now, eleven years later, Lane is aimless in Los Angeles when her grandfather calls, informing her that Allegra has disappeared. Did she also leave? Or is there something more sinister at play? Against her better judgment, Lane returns to assist in the search and alleviate her guilt for abandoning Allegra. Yet, her homecoming may also mean a chance to reconcile with the lover she hurt during that long ago summer
