Heart Bones

Beyah Grim's parents gave her only two things: a life and a dismal last name. Despite carving her own path, Beyah is still struggling to leave her past behind as she approaches her promising future. However, when a sudden death leaves her with nowhere to go, Beyah is forced to spend the summer with her estranged father in Texas. She intends to keep her head down and simply get through the summer, but her new neighbor Samson, who shares her affinity for sad things, throws a wrench in her plans.
